Recycling Training Services have over 40 years’ experience in the waste and recycling sector. Our hands-on Operations experience within the industry and currently leads the TCM Cover team in the UK.
Roger Hudspith MD has had various roles within the waste sector over the years. His first venture was scrap car recycling. His first operations management role managing a landfill site along with a waste collections and sales team for Wimpey Waste Management (Now Biffa) was based in Stoke upon Trent back in 1980.
Roger took up positions for a number of companies over the years including:
- Operations manager for Cleanaway (Now Veolia)
- Operations Manager for Biffa Waste Services.
With his vast experience in waste management at a senior level, Roger went on in 2003 with the introduction of WAMITAB to complete his 12-unit Hazardous waste qualification with the North West training provider Envirolead Limited and Oaktree Environmental Limited.
By gaining his Level 4 Hazardous WAMITAB qualification allowed for a turning point in his career as Roger then moved on to providing Interim TCM cover with his new company that he set up, Recycling Training Services.
Roger managed to find a wide range of first class customers ranging from councils across the UK, NHS Hospitals and Network rail. Roger also provided his services to waste management companies within the UK. And Blue chip Retail outlets Ikea and Tesco.
At a networking event RWM that Roger attended led to further exciting work for his new business. He met up with David Wiles, manager at Wimpey Waste Southern. This lead to recycling training services to get a new contract with Axion Consulting to promote Recovinyl PVC window recycling (Now processing over one million tonnes per year).
With all of his knowledge and experience, Roger has used this to enable him to be competent to Mentor managers across waste and recycling companies for the last 17 years. In this time, he has worked closely with training providers QSP Training limited and Oaktree Environmental Limited.
Recycling Training Services are a small team of experts in the waste management sector who provide TCM cover nationwide for both public and private companies. The team worked for a multinational Waste Company processing more than 400.000 tonnes of waste per year at two sides in East London.

They are able to provide a wide range of cover for hazardous clinical waste sites, landfill sites and non-hazardous sites with minimal risk. RTS also ensure that when providing the COTC cover, mentoring of the companies site management is being delivered at the same time nurturing them until completion of their WAMITAB qualifications
