The Recycling Training Services Team have over 40 years of experience in the UK Waste Industry and are Nationwide providers of COTC and WAMITAB Cover.
Who we are
The Recycling Training Services team have over 40 years of experience in the UK Waste Sector. Our WAMITAB accredited team are specialists in providing COTC cover for all waste & recycling sectors.
We can assist candidates in building a portfolio for WAMITAB accreditation. The team also act as a Waste Advisor and Health & Safety Advisor to several blue-chip UK companies, privately-owned skip hire & waste management companies, recycling companies, scrap and breakers yards.
What we do
Recycling Training Services provide WAMITAB COTC Cover in the following sectors: Hazardous Landfill, Transfer Treatment (Commercial waste), ELV (end-of-life vehicle processing) and Medical/Clinical Waste.
As well as WAMITAB COTC Cover, the team are also able to provide TCM (technical competent manager) services, Fire Prevention Plans, Risk Assessments, Health & Safety Manuals and help with HSE Contraventions. We train and coach Site Managers, Site Supervisors and Business Owners.

Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) Cover
Recycling Training Services provides training for managers of recycling organisations. Roger holds the Transfer Treatment and Hazardous Landfill Awards, Assessors Certificate, Anaerobic Digestion and End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) accreditations. Certificate of Achievement
Training and COTC Cover
We can offer long-term, short term and interim COTC Cover and training and can advise in areas such as Material Recovery, Scrap Metals, Plastics, Paper, Cardboard, Textiles, Electronics and Clinical Waste. Not only do we provide the cover, we provide a detailed daily/weekly inspection sheet to ensure you adhere to relevant standards.
Fire Prevention Plans
Creating effective, comprehensive fire prevention plans is a complicated business and is governed by the Environment Agency. A 19-step guide is made available on the Environment Agency website and Recycling Training Services is qualified and experienced in taking clients from the beginning to the end of the process.

If you have been issued with a Notice of Contravention from the Health & Safety Executive, Recycling Training Services are here to help immediately. We are experienced and qualified in guiding our clients through the process of understanding the Contravention Notice.

Risk Assessments for ELV Sites
At Recycling Training Services we are able to perform detailed risk assessments for any waste sites dealing specifically with Transfer Treatment (Commercial Waste) and End-of-Life Vehicle Processing (ELV).
OUR TRAINING & MENTORING PROGRAM
Our team trains and advises on how to collect authentic on-site evidence, which is assessed against the appropriate WAMITAB standard with the evidence being collected by carrying out normal day-to-day duties.
Site COTC Cover
If your appointed site TCM (Technically Competent Manager) cannot carry out their contracted duties, we provide TCM cover. We are WAMITAB qualified and can cover operations at sites from non-hazardous to clinical treatment facilities and landfill sites. You can be reassured that you will receive experienced technical cover, and our fully accredited managers safely oversee daily waste operations at your site. We can answer questions about waste operations at your site and will generate a daily report for your existing records. We cover the whole of the UK. Including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Sussex, Surrey, Falmouth, and Belfast.
Technical Competence Training
All sites with an environmental permit are required to have a TCM (Technically Competent Manager). This is also called a Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC). Recycling Training Services work with candidates registered with a WAMITAB accredited training centre, to train all employees at any type of recycling or waste management facility. The training includes ELV, Clinical Waste, Computer recycling, transfer stations, skip hire yards, hazardous landfill. We train candidates across sites in many areas of England – London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Sussex, Surrey and Devon.
We can come to you or you are welcome to come to our training facility in Winsford.
